I started baking cakes for my own family — birthdays first, then showers, then the wedding of someone I love — and somewhere along the way the people eating them started asking if I'd make theirs. I said yes to enough of those that it felt like time to make it official.

I'm self-taught, and I've added formal decorating training along the way: buttercream painting and florals, vintage piping, and the structural stuff that keeps a three-tier cake standing in July. Everything is homemade from scratch in my Hartland kitchen, with real butter, because a cake should taste as good as it looks.
